Heaven Pastry chef at Bird's Nest Estes Park

Heaven

Pastry Chef

My name is Heaven. I just moved to Colorado in October 2022. I grew up with the kitchen being my favorite room of the house. I swore magic happened in there. Now as an adult I have acquired a real passion for baking. I truly enjoy making beautiful things from nothing. I grew up baking for just family and friends, but when I moved to Colorado I decided I wanted to pursue baking in a more professional environment. So here I am! I'm excited to continue learning and growing at the Bird's Nest.

Read About Our History

After opening Bird & Jim and building our quality reputation, we received many requests catering requests for weddings on and off-site. Offsite catering was a great way to grow our business, but it was challenging with our small kitchen.  On occasion, we did close Bird & Jim to the public for weddings, yet this went against our concept of serving our community 7 days a week.  In 2019, we used a local commercial realtor to see if we could purchase the antique store across High Dr. from Bird & Jim.  This was a small building operating a few days a week, July - September. We were able to broker a deal and purchase the land and building.  The goal was to build an event space with a catering kitchen; however, we didn’t want to construct a new building that would sit empty the majority of the time. Wanting to continue to contribute to our community, we designed a cafe downstairs serving fresh-baked goods, sandwiches, pizza, quality coffee, juices, and smoothies and an upstairs event space that is open to the public when not in use.  Like many things, plans halted along with life as we knew it as we all navigated the COVID pandemic. In 2021, McClain Construction began constructing the Bird's Nest.  We opened the doors late July 2022 and are here to serve you 💛
